My friends and I absolutely enjoyed this dish. The Adobo Fried Rice Omelet is the newest Sunday Funday Brunch item at Creme Caramel in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles). Rice Omelettes are very common for breakfast in Japan. This Filipino-inspired version takes Rice Omelettes to a whole new level. The fried rice inside the omelette tastes just like the flavors of a traditional Filipino Chicken Adobo. It’s quite appetizing and a very unique brunch item.
Also on the Sunday Funday Brunch menu is a Biscuit Scramble with your choice of biscuit. My friends and I took advantage of sharing the Bacon Cheddar Biscuit and the Zucchini Biscuit.
I love the Bacon Cheddar Biscuit. This brunch item is my kind of wonderful. This biscuit is a little more denser and has a nice, almost crispy crust. 5-Stars!!!
Also equally appetizing was the Zucchini Biscuit. I never had one quite like it before. It has a soft texture inside with a flaky texture on the outsitde with chunks of zucchini peeping through.
There’s always room for dessert at Creme Caramel and the purple ones always puts a smile in my face, because the color is so pretty.
We had an array of desserts to share and one of them was the Ube Creme Caramel; a Filipino-version of Leche Flan made with Ube. The use of this sweet purple yam from the Philippines is common in making many Filipino desserts.
